The development of Armed Conflict Compact is progressing, and we’ve been working on the physical design of the game. Here are a few images of the latest digital prototype, with all the correct dimensions.

Unlike the original Armed Conflict, the Compact version will be made entirely from wood, including the box, board and counters. The aim is to create a compact, tactile game that is both beautiful to look at and enjoyable to play.

The gameboard included in the game has a fixed layout. To add some variation, we will also offer a full set of freestanding hexes as an add-on. These can be used to modify the layout as you wish or to create a randomized layout for each game.

Like the original Armed Conflict, Armed Conflict Compact will be launched through a crowdfunding campaign on Gamefound. Our aim is to launch the campaign this autumn, with delivery planned for early next year.

We are currently working on a full-size physical prototype that will have the same look and feel as the final product. We’ll share another update with photos of the prototype once it’s ready, followed shortly by the launch of the Gamefound campaign preview.
